Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the South Bruce OPP are asking for the public’s assistance to help solve the following theft.

Sometime between midnight and 9:00 a.m. on April 25th 2003 thieves forcedly entered a door on the south side of the Mildmay- Carrick Recreational Complex.  The suspects then entered the banquet hall where they removed a portable ATM machine.  The ATM machine was then loaded into an awaiting vehicle and taken to an unknown location where an acetylene torch was used to gain access.  53 - $20 bills were stolen from the machine.  The empty machine was then dumped into a secluded ditch on the “B” line road in Carrick Twp.  It’s believed that at least two, maybe three people would be required to lift the 400 lb ATM machine.

If you have information about the persons responsible for this theft then please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).  You will not have to identify yourself, you will not have to appear in court and you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.00.  Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and does not have *69 capabilities.
