Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Owen Sound Police Service are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the following break, enter and theft.

 

On the 18^th of August 2003 at approximately 3:36 a.m. unknown culprits forcibly entered the rear door of the Foto Art Camera Store located on Second Avenue East in Owen Sound.

The culprits entered the store and smashed the glass door of a display shelf and removed a number of cameras.  They then proceeded to remove boxes of cameras from behind the counter.

Stolen equipment included a large assortment of Mini DV Video cameras, digital cameras and computer printers.  Manufacturers of the stolen goods included Canon, Sony, Pentax and Olympus.  Police suspect that the thieves then fled quickly out the back door of the store with the stolen goods.
