Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce, in conjunction with Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka, and the Orillia OPP are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the following major theft.

 

On Wednesday November 5, 2003 members of the Orillia OPP responded to a report of a theft from Hot Knots Marina located at 434 Couchiching Point Road in the City of Orillia.

 

From the investigation that followed, the police have been able to determine that sometime between 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 4, 2003 and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday November 5, 2003, person(s) unknown attended the marina and stole a boat and trailer.  The boat, which is described as a 2000 DONZI 38 ZX is blue and white in colour, has 500HP E.F.I. Mercury engines, a registration number of 59E28609 and a hull identification number of DNAZ8020L900.  The trailer is described as a 2000 MYCO trailer, model number M34-36HTR, white in colour, serial number 4JFBS3830YB004 with an Ontario licence plate of Y29-487.  Both the boat and trailer are still outstanding at the time of this release.

 

The total value of the property taken in this theft is $389,000.00.
