Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the South Bruce OPP are asking for the publics’ assistance in solving the following theft.

 

On Friday December 16, 2005 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. unknown persons entered the Treasury Department of the County of Bruce on Park Street in Walkerton and stole a bank deposit bag that contained a total of $10,786.00 in cash and cheques.

 

The deposit bag had been inadvertently left on an employees’ desk while the staff attended a pre-Christmas lunch.  The office location would have allowed public access while the staff was absent.

 

The stolen loot included approximately $9,000.00 in cheques with the remainder in cash.
