Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Grey County OPP are asking for the public’s assistance to help solve the following break, enter, and theft that occurred in the Village of Shallow Lake.

 

Sometime during the evening of May 26, 2005 a house located on Main Street in the Village of Shallow Lake was broken into by thieves and cash and collectables valued at $15,000.00 were stolen.  Stolen items included two pink photo albums containing valuable stamp collections, one of which was a 1976 Olympic collection.  Also stolen was some rare older currency including old coins, (two) one thousand dollar bills, $100.00 bills from 1957 and a rare $100.00 bill from 1932.  A stolen 150 lb security safe has since been recovered.
