Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Grey County OPP are asking for your assistance in solving the following fail to remain accident.

Grey County OPP is looking for the vehicle that damaged a pole on Ridge Road in the town of Meaford. The damaged pole was discovered and reported to police at about 9:00 a.m. on February 3, 2006. It is believed the incident occurred in the early morning hours.

Investigators found the telephone pole had been broken and marks on the ground indicated a northbound vehicle did the damage. After striking the pole the vehicle continued and slid sideways on a lawn before leaving the area. Evidence found at the scene led investigators to conclude that the involved vehicle was a late 1990’s Volkswagen Golf. The car is maroon in colour.
