Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Owen Sound Police Service are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the following acts of vandalism.

 

Sometime overnight on Saturday June 17, 2006 an unknown culprit deliberately destroyed a row of flowers planted on the 9th Street bridge.  All of the flowers had been ripped off their stalks or ripped right out of the boxes.  The flowers were planted by the Downtown Improvement Area as part of the “Communities in Bloom” competition.

 

On July 2, 2006 police investigated a case of vandalism to several large clay flower pots in the downtown core of the City.

 

The public is reminded that the act of mischief to property under $5,000.00 carries with it a maximum sentence of two years in jail.
