Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Owen Sound Police Service are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the following crime.

 

On Sunday April 9^th, 2006, during the early morning hours, an eastside residence located in the area of 15^th Street East, near St. Mary’s Hill, was fired upon by a firearm from the street outside.  At least one round struck the front window of the house, grazed the living-room ceiling, and struck a back wall.  A second round disabled a parked motor vehicle located beside the home which belonged to the occupants of the same residence.  No one was injured or required medical attention as a result of this occurrence.

One of the occupants who was at home at the time of the incident was lying on a couch directly in front of the window….it was extremely fortunate that this individual was not seriously injured.  To this point in time, the investigation leads police to believe this shooting was not a random act of violence.  It appears that someone was trying to send a message to one of the occupants of the house.
