Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Saugeen Shores Police are asking for the publics’ assistance in solving the following attempted robbery.

 

At 2:15 p.m. on Saturday September 1^st 2007 a lone male entered the Southampton Foodland Store and made his way to the back office area.  He was able to access a cabinet containing lottery tickets and was in the process of stealing a quantity when a female member of the staff interrupted him.  A confrontation ensued and the staff member was assaulted prior to the thief escaping.

 

The suspect is described as a white male, early 30’s with very fair skin, 5’1”, stocky build, short black hair, and he spoke with a very deliberate, slow speech.

 

The suspects vehicle is described as a green or turquoise four door, similar in size to a Pontiac Sunfire with a very loud muffler and a partial plate number of AKA 171
