Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Grey County OPP are asking for the publics’ assistance in solving the following act of senseless vandalism in the Town of Meaford.

 

Sometime between Thursday January 18^th and Friday January 19^th 2007 unknown culprits caused a considerable amount of damage to a public gazebo situated on Bridge Street, located just off the Georgian Trail near the Meaford Harbour.  Police report that the unknown thugs kicked out a number of the spindles on the structure and then proceeded to damage its’ decorative corner pieces.  Although a damage estimate is unavailable at this time the incident certainly caused undo hardships for the Georgian Trails maintenance staff.
