Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the West Grey Police Service are asking for the publics’ assistance in solving the following theft of a handgun.

 

On February 7th 2007 a break, enter, and theft occurred at a residence on Sideroad 5 of Bentinck Township in the Municipality of West Grey, north of the Town of Hanover.  A gun vault was entered and a hand gun was stolen.  Also taken during the break-in was a large amount of $20.00 notes in American currency, mostly in sequential order.

 

The handgun is described as a Ruger .22 cal. magnum revolver with walnut hand grips and serial #6734186.

 

Witnesses observed a possible suspect described as a white male, early 30's, light brown hair wearing glasses.  The suspects’ vehicle was a small black car, possibly a Cavalier, with a red Chevrolet emblem on the front of the hood and had a partial licence plate number of "062".
