Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce, the
South Bruce OPP, and the Kincardine Fire Department
are asking for information regarding the cause of a suspicious fire in Kincardine.
On Wednesday May 28, 2008 shortly after 4:00 a.m. emergency crews responded to a structure fire at the Kincardine District High School and upon arriving
at the scene noticed that a school portable at the southeast side of the school
was ablaze. A storage shed which
contained seven lawn mowers had already burned to the ground upon their arrival.
The fire department has determined that the fire was set in a large
recycling bin located near the portable.
Early estimates of the damage are around the $20,000.00 mark.
