Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Owen Sound Police Service are asking for the publics’ assistance in solving the following thefts.

 

Sometime overnight on August 15^th, 16^th 2009 thieves targeted two ATM machines located within the Heritage Place Shopping Centre in Owen Sound.

These machines are extremely difficult to enter forcefully.  Police are still ascertaining the total amount of cash stolen, but are able to state that it is in the thousands of dollars.

 

Two stores within the mall were also forcibly entered and their cash boxes broken into.  An exterior door was forced opened leading to the rear parking lot which is believed to have been used by the culprits make their get away.

  

Police were unable to find a point of entry and therefore have not ruled out the possibility that the culprit(s) may have hid within the mall until all patrons and staff had left for the night.
