Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Grey County OPP are asking for the public’s help to help solve the following break, enter, and theft.

Sometime overnight on the 22nd to 23rd of June, 2010 a detached garage at a home on Prince Street in Priceville was forcibly entered and several items were stolen including a bicycle, chainsaw, and two boxes of tools. The total value of the theft is estimated at $2,500.00.  It is believed the stolen goods were loaded into a small truck parked on the street nearby.

The stolen bicycle is unusual in that it was a recumbent style, red in colour, made by a now defunct company known as BikeE.  An unusual feature of these bicycles was the frame which consisted of a square aluminum tube to which the crank, seat, and handlebars are mounted.  A photograph and the serial number of the bicycle are on file with the police.

If you have information about this crime or know the location of the stolen goods you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or send a web tip to crimestop-gb.org.  You won’t be asked to identify yourself, you won’t have to appear in court, and you may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000.00.
