Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce is asking for the public’s help in solving the following suspicious fire.

 

During the early morning hours of July 2, 2011 a residential fire occurred on 4^th Avenue SW in Georgian Bluffs. The homeowners, both in their 80’s, were awakened by a banging noise inside the residence and smelled smoke which triggered the fire alarm.  Attending Fire Officials, upon inspecting the basement, noted evidence that caused them to suspect the fire might have been arson. Fortunately the occupants were not injured.  The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office was notified and is investigating the cause of the fire.
