Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Owen Sound Police Service are seeking the public’s help in identifying those responsible for an assault that occurred on the sidewalk near The Curry House restaurant, in the 900 block of Second Avenue East, on August 17, 2023 shortly after 9:15 p.m., in which the 44 year old male business owner was hospitalized for serious injuries. 

The victim was assaulted by three Caucasian males, two of which ran southbound on Second Avenue East toward the intersection at Ninth Street, then continued eastbound on Ninth Street East.  

The first male is described as Caucasian, 5’10”- 6’2” tall, medium build, short dark hair, wearing a light blue tee-shirt, black shorts, and black running shoes.  

The second male is described as Caucasian, 5’10”- 6’2” tall, medium build, short brown hair longer on top, wearing an orange tee-shirt, black shorts, and black running shoes. 

Both males are believed to be in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties. 

Police are aware of a third male who is described as Caucasian, curly hair, wearing shorts and a tee-shirt, and in his late forties to mid-fifties. 

Police are asking the public to check video or dash cam footage in the described area from 8:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
